Brantford outlasts Dundas, 4-2

The Brantford Blast and the Dundas Real McCoys were evenly matched throughout their contest, but Brantford made the most of its opportunities and won, 4-2.

No lead was more than two goals during the contest, and the winning goal was scored by Ryan McCarthy at 5:48 of the second period.

The Blast were led by Dustin Alcock, who racked up one goal. Alcock scored 14:42 into the second period to make the score 3-1 Brantford. Kyle Montpetit assisted on the tally.

Brantford forced Dundas goalie Mike Mole to work between the pipes, taking 51 shots.

Others who scored for Brantford included Cam Sault and Derek Medeiros, who scored one goal each. More assists for Brantford came via Chris Rebernik, who had two and Dave Russell, Mark Taylor, Andrew Marcoux, Joel Prpic, and Jamie Williams, who each chipped in one.

The Real McCoys could not produce up to their normal offensive output. Dundas puts an average of 4.4 pucks into the net per game.

The Real McCoys were led by Shawn Snider, who registered one goal and one assist. Snider scored 5:20 into the third period to make the score 3-2 Brantford. Beni Berisha picked up the assist. Dundas also got a goal from Cam Watson as well. In addition, Dundas received assists from Simon Mangos and Jake Laplante, who contributed one each.

Anthony Marshall recorded 22 saves for the Blast. Brantford incurred 18 minutes in penalty time with four minors. Dundas' Mole stopped 47 shots out of the 51 that he faced. The Real McCoys incurred 26 minutes in penalty time with three minors.
