M1 West Virginia University let multiple leads slip away before eventually digging out of a two hole to pick up the win. The Mountaineers took a 1-0 advantage on a power play goal by Tyler Conaway at 10:35 in the first period. M1 West Virginia University went down 3-1 after M1 Pittsburgh University of's Cole Snyder put the puck home at 18:46 in the first period. After knotting things up at 3-3 on a power play goal by Zachary LaDuke at 7:24 in the third, the Mountaineers got the game-winner from James Murray at 8:39 in the third period. M1 West Virginia University was led by Murray, who grabbed one goal.
