M1 Canisius College falls apart in second, loses to M1 West Virginia University, 7-2

The M1 Canisius College Golden Griffins allowed the M1 West Virginia University Mountaineers to net five goals during the second period and fell, 7-2.

Tyler Collard had one goal and two assists to lead M1 West Virginia University. Collard scored 7:29 into the second period to make the score 2-0 M1 West Virginia University. Gerard Clayton provided the assist.

The Mountaineers outdid their season average for goals scored. M1 West Virginia University has scored at the pace of 3.3 goals per game during the current campaign. The Mountaineers got an offensive boost from their blueliners, who contributed two goals during the game. M1 West Virginia University's offense was clicking better than usual and put 43 shots on goal during the game, better than the 0.4 shots per game it averages.
