M2 Montclair State University rips M2 Marist College, 6-2

M2 Montclair State University had a three-goal lead after two periods and cruised the rest of the way en route to a 6-2 win over M2 Marist College.

Travis Ritter was all over the ice for M2 Montclair State University, as he tallied two goals and one assist in the win. Ritter scored the first of his two goals on the power play at 1:41 into the first period to make the score 1-0 M2 Montclair State University. M2 Montclair State University had gained a power play chance when Thomas Mcguire was whistled for tripping. Joseph Redmon assisted on the tally. Ritter's next tally on the power play made the score 4-1 M2 Montclair State University with 9:33 left in the second period. M2 Montclair State University had taken the advantage when M2 Marist College's Trevor Larkin got sent off for slashing. Nicholas Farina provided the assist.

M2 Marist College was doomed by its poor performance on special teams, as M2 Montclair State University was able to score four times while on the power play.

M2 Montclair State University forced M2 Marist College's goalies to work without much rest, getting 46 shots and forcing 40 saves. Tom Dorsey made six stops and Justin Larkin made 34. M2 Montclair State University struggled to stay out of the sin bin throughout the game as it finished the game with 20 penalty minutes for nine opposing power plays.

M2 Montclair State University also got points from Albert Abaunza, who also racked up one goal and one assist and Nick Lieback, who also registered one goal and one assist. Others who scored for M2 Montclair State University included John Talamo and Dylan Devereux, who each put in one. More assists for M2 Montclair State University came via Andrew Latta and Samuel Enright, who each chipped in one and Chris Preziosi and Thomas Lindquist, who contributed two each.

M2 Marist College was led by Patrick Erstling, who had one goal. Erstling scored 10:07 into the first period to make the score 3-1 M2 Montclair State University. Brett Kaiser picked up the assist. James Maxson also scored for M2 Marist College. In addition, M2 Marist College received assists from Cameron Rosata, Ryan DiTomaso, and Anthony Farrar, who each chipped in one.

M2 Montclair State University's Bradley Odgers stopped 24 shots out of the 26 that he faced. M2 Marist College incurred 14 minutes in penalty time with seven minors.
