BURLINGTON falls to KINGSTON in overtime, 2-1 (OT)

Danielle Wark gave KINGSTON a 2-1 (OT) victory over BURLINGTON when she scored nine seconds into the extra period.

BURLINGTON was stymied by KINGSTON's netminder Jensen Murphy, who stopped 34 shots during the victory. Murphy certainly lowered her goals against average, which was 4.59 entering the contest.

KINGSTON was led by Wark, who tallied one goal.

KINGSTON's penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on three BURLINGTON power plays.

Brianna Gaffney (A) also scored for KINGSTON. More assists for KINGSTON came via Mariah McCue and Natalie Graham (A), who each chipped in one.

BURLINGTON excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in three chances. BURLINGTON forced KINGSTON goalie Murphy to work between the pipes, taking 35 shots.

BURLINGTON was led by Andrea Benac, who scored the team's only goal. Benac scored 11:27 into the second period to make the score 1-1. Hunter Accursi picked up the assist.

KINGSTON incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors. Kyra OBrien took the loss and made 23 saves before being replaced by Holly Scott who made zero saves. BURLINGTON incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors.
