NEPEAN relied on the scoring touch of Karleigh Scully, who netted two goals, to beat BURLINGTON, 2-1.

Scully scored at 6:20 into the first period to make the score 1-0 NEPEAN and again while 9:17 into the third to make the score 2-1 NEPEAN.

NEPEAN's Laurysa Lewis was a brick wall in net, as she came up with 28 saves and let only one puck past her. Lewis certainly lowered her goals against average, which was 1.95 entering the contest.

NEPEAN stifled BURLINGTON's power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man.

More assists for NEPEAN came via Alyssa Baker(A), Samantha Bouley, and Devon Greenough, who each chipped in one.

BURLINGTON excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in three chances.

BURLINGTON was led by Andrea Benac, who scored the team's only goal. Benac scored 13:26 into the first period to make the score 1-1.
