Huge game by Orosz boosts NEPEAN over WATERLOO, 5-1Kitchener Memorial Auditorium Sat, Feb 14, 2015 Story by Narrative Science.
Behind a great game by Blake Orosz, who had two goals and one assist, NEPEAN defeated WATERLOO, 5-1. Orosz's tallies came at 1:32 into the first period to make the score 1-0 NEPEAN and 5:54 into the first to make the score 2-0 NEPEAN.NEPEAN was led by goalie Laurysa Lewis, who finished with 26 saves while allowing one goal. Lewis certainly lowered her goals against average, which was 1.99 entering the contest. NEPEAN pulled out the victory even though it was hit with 10 penalty minutes. NEPEAN's penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on six WATERLOO power plays. NEPEAN also got a goal from Kristy Pidgeon as well. In addition, NEPEAN received assists from Cynthia St Cyr, who had two and Kalie Grant, Karleigh Scully, and Devon Greenough, who each chipped in one. WATERLOO's defense let in more goals than it usually has this year. WATERLOO is averaging 2.3 goals against for the season. NEPEAN registered one goal on four power play opportunities. WATERLOO's starting goalie, Cohen Myers, made four saves and finished with the loss before she was taken out in favor of Jessica Fariello, who stopped 16 shots. WATERLOO incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors.
