Emily Volpe registered one point to lead WHITBY to a 2-1 victory over BARRIE.

WHITBY managed to stay out of the box better than usual, registering one minor for two minutes in penalty time. WHITBY finished below its season average of 8.0 penalty minutes per game. WHITBY kept BARRIE's goalie busy throughout the game, and Alyssa Moyer made 29 saves on 31 shots.

Briana Colangelo also scored for WHITBY. In addition, WHITBY received assists from Katelyn Rae, who had two and Hailey Wilson and Maya Patel, who each chipped in one.

BARRIE's penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on three WHITBY power plays.

BARRIE was led by Kailyn Soers, who scored the team's only goal. Soers scored 2:57 into the second period to make the score 1-1. Kelley Graham (A) assisted on the tally.

WHITBY's Rachel McQuigge stopped 15 shots out of the 16 that she faced. BARRIE incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors.
