BURLINGTON found itself down againt TORONTO, but battled back to secure to a 3-3 (OT) tie. TORONTO forced BURLINGTON goalie Holly Scott to work between the pipes, taking 40 shots. TORONTO could not stay out of the penalty box, as the team accrued 16 minutes in penalties during the game. TORONTO was led by Jessie Eldridge, who racked up one goal and one assist. Eldridge scored 2:07 into the third period to make the score 3-1 TORONTO. Celine Frappier assisted on the tally. TORONTO also had goals scored by Daryl Watts and Tori Haywood, who each put in one. In addition, TORONTO received assists from Haley Shugart and Mikyla Grant Mentis, who contributed one each. BURLINGTON stifled TORONTO's power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. BURLINGTON did not challenge the opposing netminder, only getting 14 shots on net to force 11 saves. BURLINGTON was led by Jessica Desautels, who registered three goals. TORONTO's Lindsay Wray stopped 11 shots out of the 14 that she faced. TORONTO registered zero goals on three power play opportunities. Holly Scott made 37 saves for BURLINGTON on 40 shots. BURLINGTON incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors.
