Kayla Vespa racked up two points to lead STONEY CREEK to a 4-0 victory over SOUTHWEST.

STONEY CREEK put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow SOUTHWEST to score on any of its four power plays. STONEY CREEK forced SOUTHWEST goalie Alex Rajsigl to work between the pipes, taking 46 shots.

STONEY CREEK also got points from Rachael Smith, who also tallied one goal and one assist. STONEY CREEK also had goals scored by Jessica Brown and Taylor McMahon, who scored one goal each. Other players who recorded assists for STONEY CREEK were Mallory Young, who had one and Claire Merrick, who had two.

SOUTHWEST did not challenge the opposing netminder, only getting 13 shots on net to force 13 saves.

Sarah McDonnell made 13 saves for STONEY CREEK on 13 shots. STONEY CREEK incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors. Rajsigl recorded 42 saves for SOUTHWEST. SOUTHWEST incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors.
