A four-goal first period deficit cost KINGSTON, which could not recover and fell to NEPEAN, 8-0.

Kristy Pidgeon was all over the ice for NEPEAN, as she tallied two goals and two assists in the win. Pidgeon scored the first of her two goals at 3:13 into the first period to make the score 1-0 NEPEAN. Blake Orosz assisted on the tally. Pidgeon's next tally made the score 6-0 NEPEAN with 6:04 left in the third period. Orosz picked up the assist.

KINGSTON was unable to stop NEPEAN from sending pucks towards the net, and NEPEAN eventually piled up 47 shots on goal. NEPEAN's goal total was higher than its season average. NEPEAN averages 3.1 goals per game.

NEPEAN also got points from Leanne Baker, who also finished with one goal and one assist, Alyssa Baker(A), who also tallied one goal and one assist, and Josiane Pozzebon(A), who also racked up one goal and one assist. NEPEAN also had goals scored by Kalie Grant, Karleigh Scully, and Samantha Bouley, who each put in one. In addition, NEPEAN received assists from Sam Cogan(A), who had four and Lindsay Eastwood(C), Devon Greenough, and Carolyn Williams, who each chipped in one.

NEPEAN's defense shut down KINGSTON's forwards for much of the game, and KINGSTON got off only nine shots during the contest.

NEPEAN's Kira Bombay stopped nine shots out of the nine that she faced. NEPEAN incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors. Jensen Murphy rejected 39 shots on goal for KINGSTON. KINGSTON incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors.
