BURLINGTON tried to dig itself out of a three-goal hole, but BARRIE held on for a 3-1 victory. A goal by Reagan Kaufman put BARRIE up 3-0 in the second period, but BURLINGTON pulled to within two on Maggie Spratt-Mallick's tally 13:03 into the third period. Kara Washer was all over the ice for BARRIE, as she tallied two goals and one assist in the win. Washer scored the first of her two goals at 12:36 into the first period to make the score 1-0 BARRIE. Dallas Dawson assisted on the tally. Washer's next tally made the score 2-0 BARRIE with 15:10 left in the second period. Devon Viragh picked up the assist. BARRIE put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow BURLINGTON to score on any of its three power plays.
