MISSISSAUGA wins tough contest against ETOBICOKE, 4-2

MISSISSAUGA gutted out a close 4-2 win against ETOBICOKE.

Neither team gained more than a two-goal lead, and Stephanie Sucharda (A)'s goal in the second period proved to be the difference maker.

Sucharda (A) was all over the ice for MISSISSAUGA, as she racked up two goals in the win.

MISSISSAUGA's defensemen played an important role in the offense, chipping in three goals.

MISSISSAUGA additionally got points from Adriana Vicic, who also tallied one goal and two assists and Kelly Mariani (C), who also had one goal and one assist. In addition, MISSISSAUGA received assists from Emily Pinto, who had one and Lindsay Agnew, who had three.

ETOBICOKE was helped by Rachel Santini, who finished with one goal. Santini scored 5:26 into the first period to make the score 1-1. Tegan Duncan picked up the assist. ETOBICOKE also got a goal from Elizabeth Gerace as well. More assists for ETOBICOKE came via Taylor Jackson, Willow Corson, and Erin Locke (A), who each chipped in one.

Lin Han recorded 15 saves for MISSISSAUGA. MISSISSAUGA incurred four minutes in penalty time with two minors. ETOBICOKE's Christie Honor stopped 22 shots out of the 26 that she faced. ETOBICOKE incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors.
