MISSISSAUGA rolls over KINGSTON, 7-0

MISSISSAUGA had a six-goal lead after two periods and cruised the rest of the way en route to a 7-0 win over KINGSTON.

Brooke Bonsteel had two goals to lead MISSISSAUGA to victory. Bonsteel found the back of the net 9:53 into the first period to make the score 1-0 MISSISSAUGA and again while 9:22 into the second to make the score 4-0 MISSISSAUGA.

MISSISSAUGA forced KINGSTON's goaltenders to work without much rest, ripping 44 shots and forcing 37 saves. Brooke Madigan made 20 stops and Jensen Murphy made 17. MISSISSAUGA put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow KINGSTON to score on any of its four power plays. MISSISSAUGA's goal total was higher than its season average. MISSISSAUGA has scored at the pace of 3.0 goals per game during the current campaign.

MISSISSAUGA additionally got points from Ashlee Lawrence, who also had one goal and two assists, Stephanie Sucharda (A), who also grabbed one goal and two assists, and Lindsay Agnew, who also registered two goals and three assists to lead the team in points. MISSISSAUGA also got a goal from Natalie Marcuzzi as well. Other players who recorded assists for MISSISSAUGA were Kelly Mariani (C), who had two and Caitlyn Sadowy (A), Shana Walker, Kyra Colbert, Jacky Miller, and Emily Pinto, who each chipped in one.

KINGSTON excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in five chances.

Lin Han recorded 16 saves for MISSISSAUGA. MISSISSAUGA incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors. KINGSTON incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors.
