BARRIE fell behind early, and LONDON kept piling on the points on the way to a 5-2 victory. Nicole Miners was all over the ice for LONDON, as she tallied one goal and two assists in the win. Miners scored 6:11 into the first period to make the score 3-0 LONDON. LONDON's penalty kill excelled, as LONDON gave up one goal despite allowing eight power plays. LONDON bested its season scoring average. This season, LONDON averages 2.2 goals per contest. LONDON's penalty killing units received substantial work throughout the game as LONDON finished with 16 penalty minutes. LONDON also had goals scored by April Clark (A), who had two and Courtney Simpson and Grace Donaldson, who each put in one. Other players who recorded assists for LONDON were Molly Crossman (PU), who had two and Erika Raycroft, Emily Bowman, and Ella Shelton (C), who contributed one each. BARRIE put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow LONDON to score on any of its three power plays. BARRIE was helped by Danika Phillips, who racked up one goal. BARRIE's starting goalie, Alyssa Moyer, made 12 saves and finished with the loss before she was taken out in favor of Briar Hughes, who stopped 13 shots. BARRIE incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors.
