OAKVILLE had a four-goal lead after two periods and cruised the rest of the way en route to a 5-0 win over BLUEWATER.

OAKVILLE got the win with help from a great game by Loren Gabel, who had two goals and one assist. Gabel scored the first of her two goals at 4:35 into the first period to make the score 1-0 OAKVILLE. Mackenzie Stamper picked up the assist. Gabel's next tally made the score 3-0 OAKVILLE with 9:17 left in the first period. Jazz Kennedy provided the assist.

OAKVILLE stifled BLUEWATER's power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. OAKVILLE's offense rang up 36 shots on BLUEWATER's net.

OAKVILLE also had goals scored by Emma Maltais, Meaghan Hector, and Amy Curlew, who each put in one. More assists for OAKVILLE came via Lauren Patterson, Christina Putigna, Alessia Marchese, and Cassidy MacPherson, who contributed one each.

BLUEWATER's defense was uncharacteristically lax during the game. BLUEWATER is averaging 2.4 goals against for the season.

Nikki Cece rejected 19 shots on goal for OAKVILLE. OAKVILLE incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors. Morgan Baker made 31 saves for BLUEWATER on 36 shots. BLUEWATER incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors.
