BURLINGTON tried its best to erase a two-goal deficit, but NEPEAN would not be denied the victory and hung on to win, 2-1. A goal by Karleigh Scully put NEPEAN up 2-0 in the second period, but BURLINGTON pulled to within one on Jessica Desautels's tally 9:15 into the third period. NEPEAN was led by goalie Kira Bombay, who finished with 28 saves while allowing one goal. Bombay managed to improve on her goals against average, which stood at 1.63 prior to the game. Kristy Pidgeon also scored for NEPEAN. In addition, NEPEAN received assists from Kalie Grant, Serena Weaver(PU), Leanne Baker, and Katie Rankin(PU), who contributed one each. BURLINGTON managed to stay out of the box better than usual, finishing with one minor for two minutes in penalty time. BURLINGTON ended up below its season average of 8.0 penalty minutes per game. Other players who recorded assists for BURLINGTON were Logan Land and Tristyn Svetek, who each chipped in one. NEPEAN ended with no penalties and went 0-for-1 on the power play. BURLINGTON's starting goalie, Holly Scott, made 11 saves and finished with the loss before she was taken out in favor of Kyra OBrien, who stopped 14 shots. BURLINGTON registered zero goals on zero power play opportunities.
