BRAMPTON's Lauren McDonald had a big offensive game, scoring one goal and contributing three assists in her team's 4-0 win over KINGSTON. McDonald beat Jensen Murphy with a shot 2:34 into the first period to make the score 1-0 BRAMPTON. Meghan Gallagher assisted on the tally. McDonald dished an assist on Breanna Bedborough's goal that made the score 2-0 BRAMPTON at 8:13 into the third period. He then added assists on Bedborough's goal at 17:11 into the third and on Kaitlyn McAllister's goal at 18:36 into the third.Allison Small frustrated KINGSTON's offense all game, and stopped 30 shots en route to a shutout. Small managed to improve on her goals against average, which stood at 3.03 prior to the game. BRAMPTON's penalty kill excelled, as BRAMPTON gave up zero goals despite allowing nine power plays. BRAMPTON stifled KINGSTON's power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. BRAMPTON surpassed its usual scoring output this season. BRAMPTON averages 1.5 goal per game. BRAMPTON was forced to rely heavily on their penalty kill unit throughout the game, as it racked up 22 penalty minutes. In addition, BRAMPTON received assists from Rose Falzone, who had two and Katie McTaggart and Rhiannon Ford (C), who each chipped in one. KINGSTON could not stay out of the penalty box, as the team accrued 16 minutes in penalties during the game. BRAMPTON registered one goal on six power play opportunities. KINGSTON's Murphy stopped 26 shots out of the 30 that she faced.
