BLUEWATER and AURORA skate to 2-2 (OT) tie

Even though AURORA's Jaden Head netted two goals and Madison Lee contributed one point, AURORA was held to a tie by BLUEWATER, 2-2 (OT).

BLUEWATER put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow AURORA to score on any of its three power plays.

BLUEWATER was helped by Bradey Couwenberg (C), who grabbed one goal. Couwenberg (C) scored 10:17 into the second period to make the score 1-0 BLUEWATER. Katreena Whiteye provided the assist. BLUEWATER also got a goal from Olivia Lynch as well. In addition, BLUEWATER received assists from Devon Facchinato, Abby Dortmans (A-Away), and Morgan McCann (A-Away), who contributed one each.

AURORA kept BLUEWATER's goalie busy throughout the game, and Carley Molnar made 37 saves on 39 shots.

More assists for AURORA came via Taylor McIntyre, Emily Reier, and Megan Kingston, who each chipped in one.

BLUEWATER incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors. Taylor Lemmon recorded 23 saves for AURORA. AURORA ended with 17 minutes in penalty time with one minor and one major. AURORA ran into serious disciplinary problems during the contest, and McIntyre was ejected from the game.
