LEASIDE survived a determined comeback attempt by KINGSTON on the way to a 4-2 win. LEASIDE took a 4-1 lead during the third period, only to have KINGSTON storm back on a Laura Turcotte (C) goal 19:56 into the third period to pull to two goals down. Siobhan Birch had a great game for LEASIDE, netting two goals. Birch's tallies came at 5:12 into the second period to make the score 2-1 LEASIDE and 12:19 into the second to make the score 3-1 LEASIDE. LEASIDE forced KINGSTON goalie Jensen Murphy to work between the pipes, taking 45 shots. LEASIDE bested its season scoring average. LEASIDE averages 1.9 goal per game. LEASIDE could not stay out of the penalty box, as the team accrued 16 minutes in penalties during the game. Others who scored for LEASIDE included Katriona McNeilly (C) and Olivia Reid (PU), who scored one goal each. Other players who recorded assists for LEASIDE were Olivia Kariunas, who had two and Kaelyn Johnson and Jessica Robichaud (A), who each chipped in one. KINGSTON got an offensive boost from its blueliners, who contributed two goals during the game. KINGSTON was helped by Logan Conger, who finished with one goal. Conger scored 3:37 into the second period to make the score 1-1. Turcotte (C) picked up the assist.
