BLUEWATER downs SOUTHWEST, 4-1

Bradey Couwenberg (C) finished with one point to lead BLUEWATER to a 4-1 victory over SOUTHWEST.

In the losing effort, SOUTHWEST was paced by Muna Fadel, who tallied two goals. Fadel scored the first of her two goals at 13:13 into the first period to make the score 2-1 BLUEWATER. Kiera Jackson (PU) provided the assist. Fadel's next tally made the score 4-2 BLUEWATER with 7:02 left in the third period.

BLUEWATER forced SOUTHWEST's goalies to work without much rest, firing 34 shots and forcing 30 saves. Alex Rajsigl made 14 stops and Hanna Slater made 16. BLUEWATER's penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on five SOUTHWEST power plays. BLUEWATER surpassed its usual scoring output this season. BLUEWATER has scored at the pace of 1.2 goal per game during the current campaign.

BLUEWATER additionally got points from Emma Forcey, who also had one goal and two assists and Carly Wouters, who also registered one goal and one assist. BLUEWATER also got a goal from Katreena Whiteye as well. More assists for BLUEWATER came via Davis Smith (A-Home), who had two and Olivia Lynch and Meredith Goldhawk, who each chipped in one.

SOUTHWEST excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in five chances.

In addition, SOUTHWEST received assists from Amy Maitre, who had one.

Carley Molnar rejected 18 shots on goal for BLUEWATER. BLUEWATER incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors. SOUTHWEST incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors.
