BRAMPTON outlasts BARRIE, 4-2

BRAMPTON gutted out a close 4-2 win against BARRIE.

BRAMPTON gained the winning advantage on a goal by Breanna Bedborough 18:36 into the third period and hung on until final buzzer.

BRAMPTON was paced by Bedborough, who grabbed one goal.

BRAMPTON excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in four chances. BRAMPTON outdid its season average for goals scored. This season, BRAMPTON averages 1.4 goal per contest.

BRAMPTON also got points from Lauren McDonald, who also registered one goal and one assist and Kaitlyn McAllister, who also racked up one goal and one assist to lead the team in points. BRAMPTON also got a goal from Kaitlyn Hatzes as well. More assists for BRAMPTON came via Laura Magliocchi, Katie McTaggart, Rose Falzone, Abby Hofstra (A), and Lauren Webb, who each chipped in one.

BARRIE managed to stay out of the box better than usual, racking up one minor for two minutes in penalty time. BARRIE ended up below its season average of 7.0 penalty minutes per game.

BARRIE was helped by Kelley Graham, who had one goal. Graham scored 9:20 into the first period to make the score 1-1. Danika Phillips assisted on the tally. Kara Washer (A) also scored for BARRIE. Other players who recorded assists for BARRIE were Michelle Morrison and Kailyn Soers, who contributed one each.

Allison Small recorded 27 saves for BRAMPTON. BRAMPTON incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors. Briar Hughes made 18 saves for BARRIE on 21 shots.
