Cho's goals lift BURLINGTON to 6-3 victory over SOUTHWEST

Trisha Cho had two goals to lead BURLINGTON to a 6-3 victory over SOUTHWEST.

Cho found the back of the net 11:02 into the first period to make the score 1-1 and again while 7:53 into the second to make the score 4-2 BURLINGTON.

BURLINGTON outdid its season average for goals scored. This season, BURLINGTON averages 1.7 goal per contest. The defensemen of BURLINGTON were also effective in SOUTHWEST's zone, and came away with four goals.

BURLINGTON also got points from Logan Land, who also racked up one goal and two assists to lead the team in points and Taylor Reichheld, who also finished with one goal and one assist. Others who scored for BURLINGTON included Rachel Armstrong and Tristyn Svetek, who scored one goal each. In addition, BURLINGTON received assists from Bianca Canade, Andrea Benac, Maggie Spratt-Mallick, Hunter Accursi, and Jamie Watson, who contributed one each.

SOUTHWEST was helped by Mandy Brunet, who registered one goal. Brunet scored 7:07 into the second period to make the score 3-2 BURLINGTON. Janice Hoiting picked up the assist. SOUTHWEST also had goals scored by Jenna Rops and Jordyn Wade, who each put in one. Other players who recorded assists for SOUTHWEST were Amy Maitre, Savannah Bouzide, and Jenna Henry, who each chipped in one.

Kyra OBrien made 15 saves for BURLINGTON on 18 shots. BURLINGTON incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors. Alex Rajsigl recorded 22 saves for SOUTHWEST. SOUTHWEST incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors.
