Maude Laramee netted a hat trick to lead NEPEAN over SOUTHWEST, 8-0. Laramee notched her first tally 7:07 into the first period. He then added goals at 12:14 into the first and at 13:59 into the third.NEPEAN forced SOUTHWEST's goalies to work between the pipes, racking up 34 shots and forcing 26 saves. Hanna Slater made 19 stops and Alex Rajsigl made seven. NEPEAN found the back of the net more times than it usually has this season. NEPEAN averages 3.4 goals per game. NEPEAN got an offensive boost from its blueliners, who contributed three goals during the game. NEPEAN also got points from Kristy Pidgeon, who also had one goal and two assists, Sam Cogan(A), who also finished with one goal and one assist, and Samantha Bouley, who also registered three goals and one assist to lead the team in points. Other players who recorded assists for NEPEAN were Alyssa Baker(A), who had one and Blake Orosz, Leanne Baker, Karleigh Scully, Josiane Pozzebon(A), and Caileah Forrest, who each chipped in two. SOUTHWEST did not challenge the opposing netminder, only getting 14 shots on net to force 14 saves. Laurysa Lewis made 14 saves for NEPEAN on 14 shots. NEPEAN ended with no penalties and went 1-for-3 on the power play. SOUTHWEST incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors.
