Eastwood(C) leads NEPEAN over BRAMPTON, 6-2

NEPEAN's Lindsay Eastwood(C) had a big offensive game, scoring one goal and contributing three assists in her team's 6-2 win over BRAMPTON.

Eastwood(C) got on the board by slotting home a goal 11:55 into the second period to make the score 3-1 NEPEAN. Samantha Bouley assisted on the tally. Eastwood(C) dished an assist on Sam Cogan(A)'s goal that made the score 1-0 NEPEAN at 1:12 into the first period. He then added assists on Kalie Grant's goal at 12:31 into the second and on Kristy Pidgeon's goal at 3:57 into the third.

NEPEAN kept BRAMPTON's goalie busy throughout the game, and Allison Small made 28 saves on 34 shots. NEPEAN found the back of the net more times than it usually has this season. NEPEAN has scored at the pace of 3.2 goals per game during the current campaign. NEPEAN was held back by its power play unit, which tallied one goal on 11 chances. NEPEAN's defensemen played an important role in the offense, chipping in two goals.

NEPEAN also got points from Pidgeon, who also racked up one goal and one assist and Cogan(A), who also tallied one goal and three assists. NEPEAN also had goals scored by Alyssa Baker(A) and Josiane Pozzebon(A), who scored one goal each. More assists for NEPEAN came via Cynthia St Cyr, Blake Orosz, Leanne Baker, and Carolyn Williams, who each chipped in one.

BRAMPTON found itself stymied offensively, and got off a mere 14 shots against NEPEAN's defense. BRAMPTON was forced to rely heavily on their penalty kill unit throughout the game, as it racked up 24 penalty minutes.

BRAMPTON was helped by Kaitlyn McAllister, who racked up one goal. McAllister scored 3:38 into the second period to make the score 1-1. Meghan Gallagher picked up the assist. BRAMPTON also got a goal from Katie McTaggart as well. In addition, BRAMPTON received assists from Nicole Augello (pu), Kaitlyn Hatzes, and Hillary Hettwer (A), who contributed one each.

Kira Bombay rejected 12 shots on goal for NEPEAN. NEPEAN incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors. BRAMPTON registered one goal on four power play opportunities.
