Eldridge lifts TORONTO over NEPEAN, 2-1

TORONTO relied on the scoring touch of Jessie Eldridge, who netted two goals, to beat NEPEAN, 2-1.

Eldridge's tallies came at 4:25 into the first period to make the score 1-0 TORONTO and 1:57 into the third to make the score 2-1 TORONTO.

TORONTO was led by goalie Stephanie Neatby, who finished with 27 saves while allowing one goal. Neatby certainly lowered her goals against average, which was 2.21 entering the contest.

TORONTO's penalty kill excelled, as TORONTO gave up zero goals despite allowing six power plays.

TORONTO stifled NEPEAN's power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. TORONTO was held below its usual level of production. TORONTO averages 5.0 goals per game.

In addition, TORONTO received assists from Claire Thompson, who had one.

NEPEAN managed to stay out of the box better than usual, registering one minor for two minutes in penalty time. NEPEAN wound up below its season average of 8.0 penalty minutes per game. NEPEAN's offense operated below its season average. NEPEAN puts an average of 3.1 pucks into the net per game.

NEPEAN was led by Blake Orosz, who scored the team's only goal. Orosz scored 13:04 into the first period to make the score 1-1. Lindsay Eastwood(C) provided the assist.
