TORONTO rolls over BLUEWATER, 5-0Seneca SC Rink Sat, Nov 08, 2014 Story by Narrative Science.
TORONTO had a two-goal lead after two periods and cruised the rest of the way en route to a 5-0 win over BLUEWATER. TORONTO was led by Cara Clarke, who grabbed one goal. Clarke scored 10:43 into the first period to make the score 1-0 TORONTO. Celine Frappier provided the assist. TORONTO forced BLUEWATER's netminders to work hard to keep the puck out of the net, racking up 41 shots and forcing 36 saves. Morgan Baker made 31 stops and Carley Molnar made five. TORONTO stifled BLUEWATER's power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. Others who scored for TORONTO included Haley Shugart, who had two and Jessie Eldridge and Emma Low-A-Chee, who scored one goal each. In addition, TORONTO received assists from Sabrina Repaci, Daryl Watts, Taylor Baker, Tori Haywood, and Mikyla Grant Mentis, who contributed one each and Brooke Ellsworth (PU) and Kaitlin Tse, who each chipped in two. TORONTO's defense shut down BLUEWATER's forwards for much of the game, and BLUEWATER got off only 10 shots during the contest. Lindsay Wray rejected 10 shots on goal for TORONTO. TORONTO incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors. BLUEWATER incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors.
