BRAMPTON rides Small to victory over DURHAM WEST, 2-1Paramount Ice Sun, Nov 02, 2014 Story by Narrative Science.
Allison Small stood on her head and made 36 saves to lead BRAMPTON to a 2-1 victory over DURHAM WEST. BRAMPTON's penalty kill excelled, as BRAMPTON gave up zero goals despite allowing six power plays. BRAMPTON was led by Breanna Bedborough, who had one goal. Bedborough scored 12:39 into the third period to make the score 2-1 BRAMPTON. Rose Falzone assisted on the tally. BRAMPTON stifled DURHAM WEST's power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. BRAMPTON's penalty killing units received substantial work throughout the game as BRAMPTON finished with 14 penalty minutes. BRAMPTON also got a goal from Lauren McDonald as well. In addition, BRAMPTON received assists from Abby Hofstra (A), who had one and Laura Magliocchi, who had two. DURHAM WEST forced BRAMPTON goalie Small to work between the pipes, taking 37 shots. DURHAM WEST was led by Maria Dominico, who scored the team's only goal. Dominico scored 8:40 into the first period to make the score 1-1. Alyssa Gee (A) provided the assist. BRAMPTON registered one goal on four power play opportunities. Rebecca Clark made 13 saves for DURHAM WEST on 15 shots. DURHAM WEST incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors.
