TORONTO holds on for 3-2 win against AURORA

AURORA tried its best to erase a two-goal deficit, but TORONTO would not be denied the victory and hung on to win, 3-2.

A goal by Kaitlin Tse put TORONTO up 3-1 in the third period, but AURORA pulled to within one on Becca Chilvers's tally 19:05 into the third period.

TORONTO was led by Tse, who registered one goal. Tse scored 12:22 into the third period to make the score 3-1 TORONTO. Cristine Chao provided the assist.

TORONTO forced AURORA's goalies to work in net, totaling 31 shots and forcing 28 saves. Taylor Lemmon made 28 stops and Melissa Black made zero. TORONTO excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in four chances. TORONTO did not reach the goal total it has come to expect this season. TORONTO puts an average of 5.5 pucks into the net per game.

TORONTO also got points from Claire Thompson, who also tallied one goal and one assist. Jessie Eldridge also scored for TORONTO. Other players who recorded assists for TORONTO were Laura Ball, who had one.

AURORA also got a goal from Jaden Head as well. In addition, AURORA received assists from Tara Morning (A), who had two and Brittany Kucera (C) and Katerina Dajia, who contributed one each.

Lindsay Wray rejected 17 shots on goal for TORONTO. TORONTO incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors. AURORA incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors.
