STONEY CREEK relied on the scoring touch of Sarah Hine, who netted two goals, to beat OTTAWA, 3-0.

Hine scored at 2:12 into the first period to make the score 1-0 STONEY CREEK and again while 7:48 into the third to make the score 2-0 STONEY CREEK.

STONEY CREEK's penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on three OTTAWA power plays. STONEY CREEK kept OTTAWA's goalie busy throughout the game, and Tanya Winchcombe made 37 saves on 40 shots.

Mallory Young also scored for STONEY CREEK. More assists for STONEY CREEK came via Claire Merrick, who had two and Rachael Smith, Kristin ONeill (A), and Amanda Butterfield, who contributed one each.

OTTAWA excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in six chances. OTTAWA did not challenge the opposing netminder, only getting 13 shots on net to force 13 saves.
