AURORA's penalty kill was superb, as AURORA survived multiple penalties to beat BRAMPTON, 2-1. AURORA was led by Jaden Head, who had one goal. Head scored 3:09 into the third period to make the score 2-1 AURORA. Madison Lee provided the assist. AURORA put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow BRAMPTON to score on any of its seven power plays. Becca Chilvers also scored for AURORA. Other players who recorded assists for AURORA were Claudia Black and Sabrina Manolescu, who contributed one each. BRAMPTON stifled AURORA's power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. BRAMPTON was led by Brittany Gout (pu), who scored the team's only goal. Gout (pu) scored 6:08 into the second period to make the score 1-0 BRAMPTON. Breanna Bedborough picked up the assist. Melissa Black rejected 22 shots on goal for AURORA. AURORA incurred 16 minutes in penalty time with eight minors. Kaitlyn Simpson recorded 26 saves for BRAMPTON. BRAMPTON incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors.
