OAKVILLE survived a determined comeback attempt by BURLINGTON on the way to a 3-2 win. OAKVILLE took a 3-0 lead during the second period, only to have BURLINGTON storm back on a Tristyn Svetek goal 13:42 into the third period to pull to one goal down. OAKVILLE kept BURLINGTON's goalie busy throughout the game, and Holly Scott made 28 saves on 31 shots. OAKVILLE was helped by Christina Putigna, who racked up one goal. Putigna scored 8:11 into the first period to make the score 1-0 OAKVILLE. Jazz Kennedy picked up the assist. OAKVILLE also got points from Emma Maltais, who also had one goal and one assist to lead the team in points. OAKVILLE also got a goal from Jaime Bourbonnais as well. More assists for OAKVILLE came via Madison Field, Amy Curlew, Alessia Marchese, and Jessica Geddes, who each chipped in one. OAKVILLE's defense shut down BURLINGTON's forwards for much of the game, and BURLINGTON got off only 14 shots during the contest. Rachel Armstrong also scored for BURLINGTON. In addition, BURLINGTON received assists from Logan Land and Jamie Watson, who contributed one each. Daniela Paniccia recorded 12 saves for OAKVILLE. OAKVILLE incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors. BURLINGTON incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors.
