LEASIDE beat BURLINGTON, 2-0, in a contest where the winning goal was scored in the first period but the game remained close throughout.

LEASIDE took over the lead for good with a goal by Kandice Sheriff at 6:15 in the first period. Siobhan Birch picked up the assist.

LEASIDE was led by Sheriff, who registered one goal.

LEASIDE's penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on four BURLINGTON power plays.

LEASIDE also got a goal from Jessica Robichaud (A) as well. More assists for LEASIDE came via Bronte Mutukistna and Rachel Dowdall (A), who contributed one each.

LEASIDE's Hailey Farrelly stopped 21 shots out of the 21 that she faced. LEASIDE incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors. Kyra OBrien rejected 19 shots on goal for BURLINGTON. BURLINGTON incurred four minutes in penalty time with two minors.
