Undaunted by a two-goal deficit, OTTAWA battled back to claim a 3-2 victory over AURORA. OTTAWA never led in the game until netting the game winner. OTTAWA fell behind 2-0 after a goal by AURORA's Becca Chilvers at 12:34 in the second period. OTTAWA tied things up at 2-2 on a goal by Leah Buchanan at 1:51 in the third period. OTTAWA got the game winner at 3:45 in the third period on a goal by Buchanan. Buchanan had a great game for OTTAWA, netting two goals. OTTAWA put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow AURORA to score on any of its four power plays. OTTAWA also got a goal from Caitlin Shanahan as well. In addition, OTTAWA received assists from Sophie Veronneau, who had one and Riley Gibson, who had two. AURORA additionally got points from Tara Morning (A), who also tallied one goal and one assist to lead the team in points. More assists for AURORA came via Claudia Black and Sabrina Manolescu, who each chipped in one. Elizabeth Spinozzi recorded 17 saves for OTTAWA. OTTAWA incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors and had no power play opportunities. AURORA's Taylor Lemmon stopped 27 shots out of the 30 that she faced.
