MISSISSAUGA uses early goal to top NEPEAN, 2-0

Carleton University    Sun, Oct 19, 2014

Stephanie Sucharda (A) gave MISSISSAUGA the lead in the first period, and NEPEAN was never able to catch up in a close game that ended 2-0.

A goal 9:39 into the first period by Sucharda (A) proved to be the game winner, and powered MISSISSAUGA to the victory.

MISSISSAUGA was led by Sucharda (A), who had one goal.

MISSISSAUGA put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow NEPEAN to score on any of its three power plays.

MISSISSAUGA also got a goal from Emily Pinto as well. In addition, MISSISSAUGA received assists from Dana Bryce and Jacky Miller, who each chipped in one.

NEPEAN did not reach the goal total it has come to expect this season. NEPEAN puts an average of 3.5 pucks into the net per game.

Elijah Milne-Price rejected 16 shots on goal for MISSISSAUGA. MISSISSAUGA incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors. Kira Bombay recorded 26 saves for NEPEAN. NEPEAN incurred four minutes in penalty time with two minors.
