The game between OAKVILLE and SOUTHWEST was tight through all 60 minutes, but in the end OAKVILLE emerged with a 4-2 win. OAKVILLE gained the winning advantage on a goal by Amy Curlew 15:08 into the third period and hung on until final buzzer. Christina Putigna had a great game for OAKVILLE, netting two goals. Putigna's tallies came at 8:41 into the first period to make the score 1-0 OAKVILLE and 5:09 into the third to make the score 2-1 OAKVILLE. OAKVILLE put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow SOUTHWEST to score on any of its three power plays. OAKVILLE forced SOUTHWEST goalie Hanna Slater to work between the pipes, taking 33 shots. Lauren Patterson also scored for OAKVILLE. More assists for OAKVILLE came via Jessica Geddes, who had three and Emma Maltais, Meaghan Hector, and Alessia Marchese, who each chipped in one. SOUTHWEST was led by Jamie Noseworthy (A), who registered one goal and one assist. Noseworthy (A) scored 6:03 into the third period to make the score 2-2. Ashley Maitre provided the assist. SOUTHWEST also got a goal from Savannah Bouzide as well. Daniela Paniccia rejected 13 shots on goal for OAKVILLE. OAKVILLE incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors. Slater recorded 29 saves for SOUTHWEST. SOUTHWEST incurred four minutes in penalty time with two minors.
