WHITBY blows out BRAMPTON, 4-0

WHITBY had a three-goal lead after two periods and cruised the rest of the way en route to a 4-0 win over BRAMPTON.

WHITBY was paced by Victoria Howran, who had one goal. Howran scored 5:18 into the first period to make the score 1-0 WHITBY. Jaime Fox provided the assist.

WHITBY's penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on three BRAMPTON power plays. WHITBY forced BRAMPTON goalie Kaitlyn Simpson to work between the pipes, taking 35 shots. Team's forwards weren't the only contributers offensively, and the team's defensemen showcased their scoring touch with two goals.

WHITBY also got points from Rhyen McGill(C), who also registered one goal and one assist to lead the team in points. WHITBY also had goals scored by Kirsten Welsh(A) and Katelyn Rae, who scored one goal each. More assists for WHITBY came via Avery Mitchell, Hailey Wilson, Caitlyn Quartarone, Emily Volpe, and Cassidy Vinkle(A), who contributed one each.

BRAMPTON did not challenge the opposing netminder, only getting 11 shots on net to force 11 saves. BRAMPTON struggled on the penalty kill, allowing WHITBY to score two power play goals on three chances.

Emma Schram made 11 saves for WHITBY on 11 shots. WHITBY incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors. Simpson recorded 31 saves for BRAMPTON. BRAMPTON incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors.
