KINGSTON almost clawed its way back from a three-goal deficit, but LONDON managed to pull out a 2-0 win in the end. LONDON led by three goals at one point and ended with the victory. The largest advantage in the game came when LONDON's Lexie Adzija scored at 19:54 in the third period to put LONDON up 3-0. LONDON was led by Courtney Simpson, who registered one goal. Simpson scored 17:10 into the third period to make the score 2-0 LONDON. Beatrice Dufour assisted on the tally. LONDON stifled KINGSTON's power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. LONDON's defense was surprisingly good. LONDON allows 2.5 goals per game. KINGSTON was unable to stop LONDON from sending pucks towards the net, and LONDON eventually piled up 46 shots on goal. LONDON also got a goal from Kaylie Dennis (C) as well. KINGSTON put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow LONDON to score on any of its five power plays. LONDON's defense shut down KINGSTON's forwards for much of the game, and KINGSTON got off only eight shots during the contest. KINGSTON could not stay out of the penalty box, as the team accrued 14 minutes in penalties during the game. Molly Jenkins made eight saves for LONDON on eight shots. LONDON incurred 12 minutes in penalty time with six minors. KINGSTON's Jensen Murphy stopped 44 shots out of the 45 that she faced. KINGSTON registered zero goals on four power play opportunities.
