Low-A-Chee nets hat trick, leads TORONTO to 7-0 win over LEASIDE

Emma Low-A-Chee netted a hat trick to lead TORONTO over LEASIDE, 7-0.

Low-A-Chee's first goal came 2:29 into the first period. He then added goals at 1:33 into the second and at 3:28 into the third.

LEASIDE's power play was ineffective against TORONTO's penalty kill, which allowed zero goals while shorthanded.

TORONTO forced LEASIDE's goalies to work all game long, ripping 46 shots and forcing 39 saves. Carmen Lasis made 13 stops and Hailey Farrelly made 26. TORONTO's penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on eight LEASIDE power plays. TORONTO could not stay out of the penalty box, as the team accrued 14 minutes in penalties during the game.

TORONTO also got points from Jessie Eldridge, who also grabbed one goal and one assist. Celine Frappier also scored for TORONTO. In addition, TORONTO received assists from Claire Thompson, Sabrina Repaci, Laura Ball, and Taylor Baker, who each chipped in one and Connor Galway, Cristine Chao, and Mikyla Grant Mentis, who contributed two each.

LEASIDE's offense was handcuffed by TORONTO's defensive play, and LEASIDE managed only nine shots on goal during the game. LEASIDE gave up more goals than its normal season average. LEASIDE is averaging 2.4 goals against for the season. LEASIDE could not stay out of the penalty box, as the team accrued 24 minutes in penalties during the game.

Lindsay Wray recorded nine saves for TORONTO. TORONTO registered three goals on 10 power play opportunities.
