OAKVILLE holds on for 3-2 win against BURLINGTON

BURLINGTON tried to dig itself out of a three-goal hole, but OAKVILLE held on for a 3-2 victory.

A goal by Jaime Bourbonnais put OAKVILLE up 3-0 in the third period, but BURLINGTON pulled to within one on Andrea Benac's tally 19:57 into the third period.

OAKVILLE kept BURLINGTON's goalie busy throughout the game, and Holly Scott made 36 saves on 39 shots.

OAKVILLE was helped by Loren Gabel, who had one goal. Gabel scored 14:16 into the first period to make the score 1-0 OAKVILLE. Madison Field assisted on the tally. OAKVILLE also got points from Emma Maltais, who also racked up one goal and one assist. In addition, OAKVILLE received assists from Olivia Atkinson, Christina Putigna, and Alessia Marchese, who each chipped in one.

BURLINGTON stifled OAKVILLE's power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man.

BURLINGTON was helped by Maggie Spratt-Mallick, who finished with one goal. Spratt-Mallick scored 18:12 into the third period to make the score 3-1 OAKVILLE. Ashley Money provided the assist. More assists for BURLINGTON came via Logan Land and Tristyn Svetek, who contributed one each.

Daniela Paniccia rejected 17 shots on goal for OAKVILLE. OAKVILLE incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors. BURLINGTON incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors.
