WATERLOO rips KINGSTON, 4-1

WATERLOO had a two-goal lead after two periods and cruised the rest of the way en route to a 4-1 win over KINGSTON.

WATERLOO was led by goalie Jessica Fariello, who finished with 28 saves while allowing one goal. Fariello certainly lowered her goals against average, which was 2.42 entering the contest.

WATERLOO pulled out the victory even though it was hit with 14 penalty minutes.

WATERLOO excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in six chances. WATERLOO kept KINGSTON's goalie busy throughout the game, and Jensen Murphy made 38 saves on 42 shots.

WATERLOO was helped by Taylor Walker (A), who racked up one goal. Walker (A) scored 2:44 into the second period to make the score 2-0 WATERLOO. Jamie Simpson assisted on the tally. WATERLOO also got points from Sarah Rettinger, who also grabbed one goal and one assist. WATERLOO also had goals scored by Megan Fergusson and Morgan Bates, who each put in one. More assists for WATERLOO came via Kacie Martin, Carly AuCoin, Becky Higgs, Jennifer Newcombe, and Kaillie Hardy, who each chipped in one.

KINGSTON was led by Danielle Wark, who scored the team's only goal. Wark scored 4:54 into the second period to make the score 3-1 WATERLOO. Logan Conger provided the assist.

WATERLOO registered one goal on three power play opportunities. KINGSTON incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors.
