Frappier's big game bests KINGSTON in 6-0 TORONTO win

TORONTO's Celine Frappier had a big offensive game, scoring two goals and contributing one assist in her team's 6-0 win over KINGSTON.

Frappier scored at 1:07 into the first period to make the score 1-0 TORONTO and again while 2:08 into the third to make the score 5-0 TORONTO.

TORONTO pulled out the victory even though it was hit with 16 penalty minutes.

TORONTO excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in eight chances. TORONTO forced KINGSTON goalie Brooke Madigan to work between the pipes, taking 43 shots.

TORONTO additionally got points from Jessie Eldridge, who also grabbed one goal and one assist. Others who scored for TORONTO included Haley Shugart, Daryl Watts, and Laura Ball, who each put in one. In addition, TORONTO received assists from Emma Low-A-Chee, who had two and Claire Thompson, Sabrina Repaci, Kaitlin Tse, and Mikyla Grant Mentis, who each chipped in one.

TORONTO's defense shut down KINGSTON's forwards for much of the game, and KINGSTON got off only 12 shots during the contest. KINGSTON could not stay out of the penalty box, as the team accrued 14 minutes in penalties during the game.

Lindsay Wray made 12 saves for TORONTO on 12 shots. TORONTO registered one goal on seven power play opportunities. Madigan recorded 37 saves for KINGSTON.
