NEPEAN pulled out a 3-2 (OT) overtime victory over WHITBY on a clutch goal by Lindsay Eastwood(C).

WHITBY's power play was ineffective against NEPEAN's penalty kill, which allowed zero goals while shorthanded.

NEPEAN was led by Eastwood(C), who racked up one goal. Eastwood(C) scored 4:29 into overtime to make the score 3-2 NEPEAN. Kristy Pidgeon assisted on the tally.

NEPEAN put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow WHITBY to score on any of its seven power plays. NEPEAN got an offensive boost from its blueliners, who contributed two goals during the game. NEPEAN could not stay out of the penalty box, as the team accrued 14 minutes in penalties during the game.

NEPEAN additionally got points from Josiane Pozzebon(A), who also grabbed one goal and one assist to lead the team in points. Leanne Baker also scored for NEPEAN. In addition, NEPEAN received assists from Alyssa Baker(A), who had one.

WHITBY struggled to stay out of the sin bin throughout the game as it finished the game with 14 penalty minutes for seven opposing power plays.

WHITBY was helped by Victoria Howran, who had one goal. Howran scored 5:32 into the second period to make the score 1-1. Caitlyn Quartarone provided the assist. WHITBY also got a goal from Rhyen McGill(C) as well. More assists for WHITBY came via Briana Colangelo and Cassidy Vinkle(A), who contributed one each.

NEPEAN's Kira Bombay stopped 17 shots out of the 19 that she faced. Rachel McQuigge made 21 saves for WHITBY on 24 shots.
