BARRIE tried to dig itself out of a two-goal hole, but BURLINGTON held on for a 2-1 victory. BURLINGTON made the score 2-0 on a goal by Ashley Money at 7:46 in the third period, and BARRIE got as close as 2-1 when Kara Washer (C) scored 13:48 into the third period. BURLINGTON was led by Money, who racked up one goal. BURLINGTON's offense rang up 31 shots on BARRIE's net. Jessica Desautels also scored for BURLINGTON. Other players who recorded assists for BURLINGTON were Rachel Armstrong, Hunter Accursi, and Taylor Reichheld, who each chipped in one. BARRIE's penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on three BURLINGTON power plays. In addition, BARRIE received assists from Jackie Hoover and Michelle Morrison, who contributed one each. Holly Scott recorded 17 saves for BURLINGTON. BURLINGTON incurred four minutes in penalty time with two minors. BARRIE's Briar Hughes stopped 29 shots out of the 31 that she faced.
