NEPEAN outlasts WATERLOO, 4-3

NEPEAN and WATERLOO were evenly matched throughout their contest, but NEPEAN made the most of its opportunities and won, 4-3.

NEPEAN gained the winning advantage on a goal by Carolyn Williams 13:26 into the third period and hung on until final buzzer.

NEPEAN pulled out the victory even though it was hit with 20 penalty minutes.

NEPEAN was led by Williams, who had one goal.

NEPEAN kept WATERLOO's goalie busy throughout the game, and Jessica Fariello made 30 saves on 34 shots.

NEPEAN additionally got points from Blake Orosz, who also grabbed one goal and one assist and Lindsay Eastwood(C), who also finished with one goal and one assist. NEPEAN also got a goal from Kristy Pidgeon as well. More assists for NEPEAN came via Karleigh Scully, who had one and Sam Cogan(A), who had two.

WATERLOO was held back by its power play unit, which tallied one goal on 10 chances. The defensemen of WATERLOO were also effective in NEPEAN's zone, and came away with three goals.

WATERLOO was led by Taylor Walker (A), who registered one goal and one assist. Walker (A) scored 13:27 into the second period to make the score 3-2 NEPEAN. Kaillie Hardy picked up the assist. WATERLOO also had goals scored by Kacie Martin and Claire Renouf, who each put in one. In addition, WATERLOO received assists from Carly AuCoin, Lexi Templeman, and Jennifer Newcombe, who contributed one each.

Laurysa Lewis made 18 saves for NEPEAN on 21 shots. NEPEAN registered one goal on seven power play opportunities. WATERLOO incurred 12 minutes in penalty time with six minors.
