AURORA uses early goal to top BURLINGTON, 2-0

Ashley Rothon gave AURORA the lead in the first period, and BURLINGTON was never able to catch up in a close game that ended 2-0.

Rothon provided AURORA with the game-winning tally when she scored 4:49 into the first period. Tara Morning picked up the assist.

AURORA was led by Rothon, who registered one goal.

AURORA's penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on five BURLINGTON power plays. AURORA's offense rang up 33 shots on BURLINGTON's net.

AURORA also got a goal from Jaden Head as well. More assists for AURORA came via Alex MacKinnon, Jasmine Grant, and Becca Chilvers, who each chipped in one.

BURLINGTON excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in five chances.
