M3-Liberty University survives M3-South Carolina University of comeback, wins 4-2

M3-South Carolina University of tried its best to erase a four-goal deficit, but M3-Liberty University would not be denied the victory and hung on to win, 4-2.

A goal by Weesner Caleb put M3-Liberty University up 4-0 in the third period, but M3-South Carolina University of pulled to within two on Michael Kochenash's tally 14:21 into the third period.

M3-Liberty University got the win behind a great game by Brandon Cockburn, who had two goals and one assist. Cockburn scored the first of his two goals short handed at 5:33 into the first period to make the score 1-0 M3-Liberty University. M3-Liberty University found itself down a man on James Brady's tripping. Markus Deas picked up the assist. Cockburn's next tally short handed made the score 3-0 M3-Liberty University with 13:28 left in the third period. M3-Liberty University earned a power play opportunity when Alec Gerred was put in the box for slashing. Chad Docksteader assisted on the tally.

M3-Liberty University had trouble converting on the power play advantage, managing just one goal on nine chances.
