The M1 Mercyhurst University Lakers tried their best to erase a two-goal deficit, but the M1 Indiana Univ of Pennsylvania Crimson Hawks would not be denied the victory and hung on to win, 4-3.

A goal by Sean Beichner put M1 Indiana Univ of Pennsylvania up 4-2 in the third period, but M1 Mercyhurst University pulled to within one on Darnell Clarke's tally 17:56 into the third period.

Beichner had two goals and one assist to lead the Crimson Hawks. Beichner scored the first of his two goals at 7:25 into the second period to make the score 3-1 M1 Indiana Univ of Pennsylvania. Beichner's next tally made the score 4-2 M1 Indiana Univ of Pennsylvania with 2:49 left in the third period.

M1 Indiana Univ of Pennsylvania's offense was clicking better than usual and put 32 shots on goal during the game, better than the 0.4 shots per game it averages.
