M1 Kent State University hangs on, beats M1 Davenport University 3-2

Jonathon Buttitta scored the go-ahead goal in the first period, and the M1 Kent State University Golden Flashes held off the challenges of the M1 Davenport University Panthers in a tough 3-2 win.

M1 Kent State University took over the lead for good with a goal by Buttitta at 16:33 in the first period.

The Golden Flashes got the win on the strength of a great game by Buttitta, who had one goal and two assists.

Others who scored for M1 Kent State University included Ethan Martin and Chance Taylor, who each put in one. More assists for M1 Kent State University came via Caleb Gannelli, who had one.

The 37 shots that M1 Davenport University put on net surpassed the Panthers' average of 6.2 shots per game this season.

M1 Davenport University was helped by Mason Bohlinger, who finished with one goal. Bohlinger scored 7:53 into the second period to make the score 3-2 M1 Kent State University.
