M1 Oklahoma / University of beats M1 Colorado / University of 4-1 as Boldon gets hat trick

Darrell Boldon netted a hat trick to lead the M1 Oklahoma / University of Sooners over the M1 Colorado / University of Golden Buffaloes, 4-1.

Boldon's first goal came 10:28 into the second period. He then added goals at 18:54 into the second and at 15:17 into the third.

M1 Oklahoma / University of pulled out the victory even though it was hit with 18 penalty minutes.

The Sooners' defensemen bolstered M1 Oklahoma / University of's offensive attack, as they bombarded Alex Palumbo with 16 shots. The Sooners put 34 shots on net during the contest, more than the 3.8 they average per game.

M1 Oklahoma / University of also got a goal from Joe Adams as well. In addition, M1 Oklahoma / University of received assists from Ryan Stouffer, Mico Solorzano, and Bryce Johnson, who contributed one each and Ty Jones and Jordan Greenberg, who each chipped in two.

M1 Colorado / University of forced its penalty killing units to work especially hard during the game, picking up six minors and one major for 27 minutes in penalty time. The Golden Buffaloes had been averaging 17.0 minutes in penalties per game. M1 Colorado / University of was held below its usual level of production.
